Funneling Your Trends

There is a new shopping website called Trend Funnel that is meant to take the hassle out of shopping for items to decorate your home by funneling you into particular trend styles. The site appears to be fairly new, and is still under development in certain areas, but looks like it has potential.

Trend Funnel invites you to sign up for free to experience their shopping ideas. Once you log in, you choose one of their pre-determined shopping trends, as I chose Timeless Glamour. By picking the room you want to decorate, the site narrows down potential choices with pricing, and allows you to save them to a board. For example, I selected a rug, a mirrored chest, a piece of artwork and a chandelier to put in an entryway.

Your items are then saved to view later, or you can choose to purchase some or all of them. What makes Trend Funnel a great site is that they take out the guesswork. Their pricing includes freight as well as a 10-15% cost of doing business fee that keeps the site free. They handle all returns through the various manufacturers, less a 15% restocking fee.

So far the trends are somewhat limited, and the selection is narrow under some categories, which may be great for those that don’t want too many choices. I expect that this site will grow as it becomes more popular.
