Milan based industrial designer and architect Massimo has created a striking table that allows for the play of shadows, shape and light to add presence to a room. The Centrino Table uses welded circular shapes to create the top with a simple base. It has an haute couture inspired aura with the lace-like shapes that appear to be floating. The play of shadows on the floor has a magnificent strength, allowing the viewer to appreciate the art of table, as well as its function.
I love the play of masculine vs. feminine shapes – one could look at the table and view it as oversized washers, while another will appreciate the flowery, dotted effect. I suspect Massimo intended for the viewer to use their imagination and get lost in the radiance.
