Design the Perfect Home Theater

You do not have to spend a fortune to get the home theater you are looking for. However, there are some aspects that you do not want to overlook with this. This will help you to have a theater room that will meet your needs, no matter what the size your theater room is.

Furniture

You should think about how you will arrange the seats. You do not have to go with theater style seats, but can do the seating in any way that you like. The type of seats will be largely dependent on your budget restrictions, style preference and the functionality in the room. You should also think about tables in the room. This will give you somewhere to set drinks and snacks. You just want to make sure they are in a convenient spot to the seats.  Here is a link to some great ideas for designing your home theater seating.

Speakers

Having the right speakers is something else you do not want to overlook. You should find surround sound speakers that will give you the feeling of being in the action. There are sets you can buy that have all the necessary components together or you can buy the pieces individually. You do not have to go with top of the line speakers, but they should at least be a good quality.

TV

The TV is one of the most essential aspects to your home theater. The size you go with is up to you. However, you do want to make sure that the quality of the picture is what you want. It can be worth it to sacrifice size to get a better quality as this will make the experience better.

Décor

This is what will really set your home theater apart and make it stand out. There are many ways that you can go with this. Some people opt for a vintage movie theater feel, such as with the old style popcorn makers. Others like the feel of a movie set. The way you design it is up to you. Think about the wall art you will use as well. You may want to hang framed posters of your favorite movies or simply decorative signs that remind people not to talk while the movie is playing.

Channels and Sources

You should also make sure you are set to watch the TV in your theater room. If you have a box for your cable, it is good to have one installed in the theater room. Having a blu ray player is also a good idea. With this, it is also good to have a TV or gaming console where you can enjoy Netflix, Hulu or other similar options. This can help you to get the most out of the room.  Choosing a provider for a larger volume of channels is always a wise investment.  If you are a big sports fan often DirecTV is the best option as they cover every NFL game.  If you are new to DirecTV you can save a few dollars by signing up using www.saveontvdirect.com as they offer special deals to first time subscribers.

Projector

Depending on the size of the TV you go with, this may not be something you need. If you want to get the movie theater feel though, this is the way to go. It can allow you to have a screen that is even bigger than the largest TV on the market. The thing to keep in mind though is that the installation can be quite a hassle.
